'Tis the Season!

Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year! I love the beautiful christmas lights! The christmas songs! The christmas cookies and most of all the Christmas spirit! i couldn't wait for Black Friday so that I could put up my Christmas tree and all my Christmas decorations! I wanted to be able to enjoy our own apt in Christmas cheer before we left for VA for 2.5 weeks. It's been great! But I also feel like time is slowing down as we get closer to leaving time! I am SO excited to go back to visit my family for Christmas! This will be the first time my sisters will meet Hailey!
This week we had our ward Christmas Party and we got to decorate gingerbread houses! It was a lot of fun. We didn't win, but i think it looks pretty neat! There's a hot tub and a fire pit! Anyway, we can't wait for Saturday to come so that we can leave for our VA/NY vacation! Woohoo!

A Thanksgiving Holiday

So last weeks Thanksgiving Holiday was a blast! The day before Thanksgiving all the alarms in our apartment complex went off with their ear-splitting siren and strobe lights in every living room! It was crazy! The fire department came and everyone was outside watching, or in their cars staying warm. It was 30-45 min before the alarm was turned off. It was SO loud! Turns out there was no fire- just someone boiling water.... stupid alarms.

As for Thanksgiving itself- Ryan's family came up to Rexburg (since most of them live here already lol) And we crammed everyone into a little apt for our thanksgiving feast. It was cozy and lots of fun- plus lots of tasty foods! Then we met up with even more people (close family friends) for dessert! It was nice to be with so many people we know and love.

As most people know, Thanksgiving is a time for reflecting upon the things we are thankful for. I just want to say how grateful I am for my wonderful husband and our marriage. Before I was married people would always tell me how hard the first year of marriage was. And then again when we were about to have our first baby people told me how it would try our marriage like never before. Well I've never had to experience any of that hardship. Yes, marriage took some getting used to (and we will always have things to work on) and yes, having a baby is difficult and emotional- but not once have I felt like what I was going through was the hardest of my life. I have been truly blessed with a wonderful husband who completes me and with whom I can talk to and work things out with.

Ryan- I am SO grateful for you and for everything you do for our little family! Words cannot describe how lucky I feel to have you as my husband. I cannot wait to spend an eternity with you, and now, our daughter as well! You are everything to me. I love you.

My latest craft projects

So I've been busy trying to be crafty in my spare time. And this is what I've come up with! Two pillows, a carseat cover and some turkey hands!

The pillows my mom got me when she was here to help out with Hailey. We got plain red so that I could be crafty with them and put my own embellishments on them! I really like how they turned out!

As you saw before, I made Hailey a baby quilt. Well, i had TONS of the same fabric from her quilt left over, so I decided to make her a car seat cover! It keeps her super warm and I love the way it looks! Plus, it matches her quilt! How cute!

For family night the other day we made thanksgiving thankful turkeys (well, mostly I made them). We tried to get Hailey told hold still while I traced her hand... it was VERY difficult, and she did not appreciate it like she should have :) haha. But in the the end it turned out cute and we wrote things we were thankful for on the feathers. Hailey is thankful for diapers, pacifiers, mommy, and daddy! :)
Overall, I think I've been pretty productive. Now I need a new project! :)

Saddest Day

Today Hailey is 2 months old- that meant a trip to the doctors. Well for those of you who are parents, you know that at your 2 month check-up you get shots. Hailey had one shot at the hospital when she was born, but they had wheeled her out to the nursery to do it. So I never saw it. Well this time I got a close up of the pain and tears. They gave her three shots in her tiny little thighs and at that exact moment it hit me how overwhelming my love for my daughter really is. The look on her face broke my heart and her screams and tears were enough to crumble me to pieces. As soon as the nurses walked out, I burst into tears and held my sweet baby until she was okay again. What I would have given to take those shots for her. Once we got home, I declared it lazy day and we chilled on the couch and in bed all day! It made me feel better :)

And Winter Begins

So this week we had our first real snow of the winter. It's here to stay ladies and gentlemen! I think that the only way to get through another frigid winter is to remind myself that it will be our last. But for now, we will just have to enjoy it! I do love the way snow and ice look... on trees :)

This weekend Ryan and I had a much needed date night- mingled with exercise. Ryan hasn't been rock climbing since August and I haven't been since even before that! So we decided to go to the rock climbing gym here in Rexburg for some fun and exercise (leaving Hailey at her Aunt Ashley's). It felt good to be climbing again, even if I was painfully out of shape! I missed it, and I know Ryan has too. We shall return to the gym often.

So today in sacrament meeting, our bishop's wife talked about provident living and food storage. I wish I was better at these things. She told a story about this friend of hers who only cooks 4 times a year- She buys about $400 worth of food every 3 months and spends a few days cooking up a frenzy and freezing loads of meals! Sounds great, but I am definitely not THAT ambitious! But maybe I should do SOME freezing of meals for emergencies and hectic nights. Thoughts? Recipes? As for food storage, I find it hard to start when I know I'm going to be leaving in 6 months and will have to drag all that food with us wherever we go. But who knows, maybe we will be needing a food storage supply within the next 6 months! Its totally possible here in Rexburg!

TIme Flies When Youre Having Fun

Life has finally settled into more of a routine. Hailey usually goes to bed around midnight (give or take an hour), wakes up at 5am or 6am to eat and then goes back to sleep until 9am or 10am. If only we could slide those hours back 2 or 3 hours- then we'd have perfection! But we like that she wakes up at 5 or 6 to eat because it forces Ryan to get out of bed and do his homework- since the mornings are really his only times to get homework done.

Ryan is driving himself into the ground with all that he has to do! He wakes up at 5 or 6 to do homework, goes to school at 8:30 and comes home at 12:20. Goes to work at 1pm. Comes home for dinner from 6-7pm and then goes back to work until 10pm. Then we relax and start trying to get Hailey to bed. But thank goodness there is an end in sight! Ryan is going to be quitting his job in December after schools is over. We decided that for our last semester we should focus on school and Hailey (especially since Ryan will be taking 19 credits). We can't wait!

Hailey is almost 2 months old! Can you believe that? She is growing so fast! I feel like every day she gets bigger and bigger. Ryan keeps saying how he can't wait for her to get a little older so she can play and be more fun... but I don't want her to grow!!! Once she becomes a toddler then she'll be a going to preschool, then kindergarten, then she'll be a teenager and graduating high school! Then, before you know it, she's all grown up and out of the house! No. No no no. She will just have to stay small forever!

Sleepless Nights

And I thought it was hard to sleep while I was pregnant! What I would give for just 5 hours of consecutive sleep! We are adjusting quite nicely during the day though! I have a planned out feeding and napping schedule for her. The feeding schedule goes quite nicely... the napping one- not so much. But we are being flexible and trying to "roll with the punches". It is definitely very difficult, but it is totally worth it when she cracks that toothless little grin of hers! I absolutely adore being a mommy! My baby girl is absolutely perfect in every way! I can't believe how miraculous it is that such a complex and intricate human body was created inside me in only 9 months time! I don't understand how some people could say there is no God- all you need to do is to look at an innocent new baby to testify that God lives and exists. It's simply amazing! I am truly blessed to have her.

This weekend, my dad flew out for Hailey's baby blessing. It was great to have him here. And it was great to have so many friends and family stand in for Hailey's blessing. Ryan's whole family was here and some of his close friends drove up from Utah. We also had a few other close friends and family members (cousins). Ryan did a great job. I couldn't have been happier to be surrounded by so many loved ones to celebrate Hailey and her life on this earth.

And Then There Were Three

As most of you know, we officially brought our sweet baby Hailey into this world on Wed, Sept 21, 2011. She weighed a whole 6 pounds and 11 ounces and 18.5 inches long. I was in labor for 8 hours and only pushed for 20 minutes. It all went pretty smoothly. I was put on pitocin at 7am on Wed and by 2pm I was only dilated to 4cm. It was at this point that I caved and requested an epidural. After I received the epidural I went from 4cm to 9cm in 30minutes. The nurse was so surprised and the doctor wasn't even in the building yet. They had to call him in and boy was he rushing. The nurse told me to try not to push- which wasn't hard to do because I was so tired and couldn't really feel a whole lot in the lower regions. So the doctor rushed over and we pushed the baby out in 20 min! I did receive a small episiotomy to help bring her out. But it was all worth it in the end! She was born perfectly healthy and absolutely beautiful! I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Hailey May Ferons is now a week old and even more beautiful than the first day. She loves to snuggle and be bundled up nice and warm. She absolutely HATES being unwrapped, undressed, or getting her diaper changed. It's a traumatic experience every time. But she is eating really well and sleeping... well, we're working on that one. But we love and adore her!
It's been really great having my mom around to help too! She's been so great helping out with chores around the house and making food and being the best grandma ever! I will be sad when she leaves on Saturday... Then will come the real challange- keeping a house organized AND taking care of a newborn. We shall see how that goes.

Inducing

So at 40 weeks and 5 days I still have not dilated more than 1cm so I will be inducing tomorrow (Tue, 20th) at 8pm at the Madison Memorial Hospital. I'm a little disappointed that I have to be induced, but I am excited to have some finality to this pregnancy! I'm excited to get this little girl out and see and hold her for the first time! It's so exciting! Yet... so surreal. I feel like it's not really happening to me. It's weird. I'm excited too that my mom will be flying in tomorrow and will be able to spend 2 weeks with us! I can't wait to see her!
Today Ryan took me out to lunch to Applebeas for a "final" date where we don't have to worry about children or babysitters. It was nice! :) He is so sweet! He is also very excited for baby Hailey! So here we are at the threshold of a new chapter in our lives together and I am so nervous and excited all at once. This is a huge responsibility! God has sent us his sweet and precious baby girl to raise and call our own. I can't help but be so eternally grateful that I get to experience this with the wonderful man I get to call my husband. This is only the beginning of our family and our life together. Bring it on! :)

Tortellini Marinara

So since I only used half a bag of tortellini for Ryan and I in the last recipe... I decided to try a new one last night with the last half of the bag! It was equally delicious and once again- super easy! Here's the recipe!

1pkg cheese tortellini
1 lb itallian sausage
1 pkg marinara sauce (we just used spaghetti sauce!)
1 can diced italian tomatoes, undrained (we skipped this step since the spaghetti sauce was already chunky)
1/2 lb sliced fresh mushrooms (we also skipped this one due to the lack of mushrooms in our fridge :( )
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

FIRST, cook tortellini according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
SECOND, stir in marinara sauce, tomatoes and mushrooms. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until mushrooms are tender.
THIRD, drain tortellini and stir into the skillet. Sprinkle with cheese and let stand until cheese has melted. Serve!

Bon Appetite!

Chicken and Cheese Tortellini

Due to popular demand, here is my recipe for Chicken and Cheese Tortellini that I made the other night! It's SUPER easy and only takes about 15-20min! Enjoy!

1 pkg (9oz) refrigerated cheese tortellini
1 cup frozen peas
1 tub (8oz) garden veggie OR onion and chive cream cheese (we went with onion and chive cream cheese)
1/2 cup milk
1 pkg (9oz) chopped cooked chicken breast

FIRST, in a large pot, cook tortellini according to package directions 7-9min. Cook frozen peas in colander. (I just threw them in with the tortellini and they turned out fine!)
SECOND, in a small saucepan combine cream cheese and milk; heat and stir until cheese is melted. Heat/cook chicken as desired.
THIRD, Stir cheese sauce into cooked pasta and pea mix. Gently stir until all is thoroughly heated. Spoon into individual bowls/plates and top with cooked chicken cubes!

Bon Appetite!

Tick Tock Tick Tock

This week Ryan started school and full time work, meaning I am left home all day to do nothing but wait for this baby. Its torturous! Today I spent an hour in a bubble bath watching Psych. Then I cleaned the apartment... again. Made lunch for Ryan (for his 45 min break between school and work). Then I took a nap for an hour. After that my sister-in-law, Ashley, was kind enough to come entertain me for a few hours. We went for a walk and then made my favorite oatmeal chocolate chip cookies! Delicious!!! And then I made a new dinner recipe of Chicken and Cheese Tortillini! It was very tasty! I'll be saving that one for the future! After dinner I watched 3 more episodes of Psych and did the dishes again! Eventful, right?
Well tomorrow is my due date and I have an apt with the doctor in the morning! So hopefully I have progressed enough to have something to be excited about! :)

The Final Countdown

(Hailey's Room)

(Hailey's Crib with the wall frames I made!)

Well as of today I am dilated to 1cm and 50% effaced. Which is not bad! I was hoping for a little more dilation... but I can't complain. Technically I still have 5 more days until her due date! But the pressure in my pelvis is more than uncomfortable, so any time now would be GREAT! (Do you hear that, Hailey??? ANY TIME NOW!) I've gained a total of 30 lbs as of this week for my whole pregnancy. I've just started to get a little puffy in my hands and feet this last week too. No wonder they say the last couple of weeks are the worst. Swelling sets in, pressure on your pelvis and sciatic nerve, bending over is an impossibility, and all you can think about is going into labor!!! It's torturous, really.

We finally got her crib all set up and her room is now all done! It's so exciting and weird to have a baby room all set up! Ryan was so excited to put it together and see everything looking finished finally! We are both just so anxious to hold her in our arms and to see her in the scene! For now, it just seems surreal to have all this baby stuff with no baby! I can't even put a face to the little bundle of joy yet! Soon enough... soon enough.

Positive and Reinforced Thinking!

I'm down to 12 more days! And going into labor consumes my thoughts all day AND all night! It's a bit ridiculous! But what else am I supposed to think about!?!? This is kinda major! Ryan and I have decided to do this birth without an epidural and other such medications. It's surprising to me how touchy this subject can be with people! So before you get your panties in a wad over this decision I would like to say that it's not because I think it's more "womanly" or whatever. It's not because I think I'm stronger than other woman or "above" them in any way. We've made this decision based on research and personal desire. I think that it is an experience worth having- an empowering experience with a sense of accomplishment. I can honestly say that I am excited! I can't wait! I've been trying to naturally induce this baby early (if she's ready of course) by walking a lot and staying on my feet a lot. It's exhausting! Hahha. I spent all night the other night envisioning going into labor and how I was going to handle it and such... to no avail. Still no dilation. But she is in the correct position! Which is a plus! :) We'll see if some spicy food wont throw me into labor!

Baby Stuff Galore

This week has been crazy (besides recovering from food poison or a major stomach bug)! We have been getting large packages almost every day of things for Hailey's bedroom! We got a stroller, car seat, bouncy chair (thanks to the wonderful anna-banana), rocking glider chair, and a new cubby/storage system for our room to better condense all of our stuff and better accommodate our baby! It's been great being able to see things slowly come together for her room! I'm so excited to get it all ready for her! Only 2 weeks and 3 days left!!! But who's counting, right? I just can't wait to hold the squishy little munchkin for the first time!!!

Anyone seen "The Adjustment Bureau" with Matt Damon? Well we watched it this week and it was pretty good. Kind of an interesting concept about agency ad free will. Plus it had Matt Damon.... 'nough said. I also just say the movie "9" by Tim Burton... not gonna lie- I really didn't like it. I mean, what was the point!? Seriously. Then there was "Slumdog Millionaire" which I really enjoyed. It was slightly depressing and graphic, but I really liked the cinematography and story line. Builds Character!

A Double Triathlon!

On saturday Ryan completed his very first triathlon here in rexburg called the Rush Triathlon. He did a great job! I was so proud of him! I may or may not have gotten teary-eyed here and there... but there is no proof and if there were, I would blame it on the pregnancy hormones! I had to run a 1/2 mile just to make it to the beginning of the race on time. Why would they make the parking lot so far away?! DUmb. I was exhausted afterwards. WHo'd a thunk that watching a triathlon could be so exhausting! lol. Afterwards, to celebrate, we went to a pizza buffet with our friend Tyler and Kira and their son Lincoln. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and napping.

Then came the second triathlon. Ryan and I spent the entire night taking turns throwing up in the toilet... or tub- which ever was most available. I'm thinking it was food poisoning from something we ate on Sat. Not really sure though, I'm just glad it's finally over. We spent all day Sunday recovering and taking it easy... and basically being lazy. But that's allowed when we didn't sleep all night due to puking, right?

San Diego Vacation

As you may know, we recently went down to San Diego, CA for yet another wedding! This time it was for Ryan's sister, Ashley's, wedding! And what a beautiful wedding it was! Ashley looked gorgeous and Chris (her husband) was glowing like a pregnant woman! :) They've been waiting a long time for this wedding! Congrats to Ashley and Chris! Love you guys!
Did I mention that this was the 3rd wedding I've been a bridesmaid in while being pregnant?! How crazy is that! Everyone just HAD to get married this year! Hahha. Oh well- it's been great. I do enjoy my vacations to San Diego. We took another trip to Sea World, went to the beach, went to the temple, helped with a wedding and even had a baby shower for our little Hailey! It was a great week!
Now I'm home and in the last stretch of my pregnancy! 3 1/2 more weeks until due date! WOO! I'm getting very antsy! I can't wait to meet this little girl that puts constant pressure on my ribs! We ordered her stroller and car seat this week- should be hear next week! Ah! Can't wait!

Cramped Quarters

This week was kind of crazy! My sister flew in for EFY this week and my uncle, his family, and my grandma came out too so that my cousins could go to EFY as well. While my sister and cousins were at EFY my uncle, his wife and my grandma stuck around to hang out with Ryan and I. It was really great to see them again and have them in our home- but boy does our small apartment heat up quickly with so many bodies in it! Or maybe it was just me... I felt like I was going through a heat wave all week! I got to show them all around rexburg (which didn't take long) and campus and such and down to Idaho Falls also! It was fun! Sydney stayed for an extra weekend. We went shopping and bought baby clothes! hehhe. We also played games and watched movies! I kinda wish she could have stayed longer! But alas- duty calls and we must go to work. Next week- SAN DIEGO!!!

Only 6 more weeks of Pregnancy! I can't believe how fast it is going by! We CANT wait! I think Hailey is getting antsy in there too- she is moving and kicking all over the place! it's fun to watch!

Happy 21st To Me

Well it's been a couple weeks since I wrote last- so I have lots to catch up on! I had a baby shower with some friends around here in Rexburg! It was a lot of fun! Thanks to the amazing Leslie Casariego for putting it on for me! And for the assistance of my wonderful sister-in-laws, Ashley and Lynae. It was a lot of fun playing games and eating tasting foods! And thank you to all those of you who have gotten Hailey a present! We appreciate it!

I also finally finished the semester and finished it with all A's!!! Well- maybe, not sure about my water aerobics class... i know, how pathetic! Anyways, I am glad the semester is over but I felt like it went by SO quickly! I hardly remember June ever even happening! And now here we are about to go on to August! Craziness!

This week my sister and 2 cousins are here in rexburg for EFY. It was a mad house trying to get them all checked-in and into their apartments. But i'm excited for them! I loved EFY all 4 years! It's such a great experience for all youth in search of their own testimony! I hope they have the greatest week EVER!

OH! And by the way- I turned 21 this weekend! YAY Happy Birthday to me!!! Ryan made me french toast and bacon with strawberries for breakfast! It was deLISH!!! And then we went to the pool for 4 hours and got nice and tan/crispy! Then we went to see Harry Potter 7 Part 2. It was great!!! I loved it! Now i feel the need to reread all the books seeing as I didn't remember any of what happened in the movie. It was a great day and Ryan got me awesome sewing/quilting equippment, candy, and a recipe magazine (which i love reading).

Overall, life is good. 7 more weeks!

Lamaze Class

So this weekend was slower than our previous two exciting weekends. Ryan got a calling in our new ward as Sunday School Teacher- which he is very excited about! It's just the job he wanted! Then on Saturday we went to an all day Lamaze Class where we learned all about childbirth! It was great! We got a lot of really helpful information and came away from the class feeling much better and at ease about everything! They gave us a tour of the hospital here in town too. The maternity ward is awesome! All single bedrooms with lots of space. A jacuzzi room for women in labor and also one for women in recovery! I'm actually looking forward to this! (for now anyways lol) Sunday was good- family dinner and church! Then we played games with our upstairs neighbors, Allie and Brad. Ever played Bubble Talk? Funniest game ever! We died laughing so hard! It was great! Now on to our last week of school before finals! Hallelujah!

30 Weeks and Counting!

So I have made it to 30 weeks! Only 10 more to go! It seems like just yesterday I had reached 10 weeks and was feeling so nauseous that I couldn't stand! (Boy am I glad that part is over with!) Now sweet baby Hailey is approximately 3lbs and 16 inches long! She's getting so big! It's hard for me to believe that a 3 lbs baby can have the strength to kick and flail the way she does! Just yesterday I was leaning over and she kicked my rib!!! And not just a shove- it was a full blown kick! Guess she didn't like that rib in her face! haha. It's getting to be so much fun to watch my stomach move, jerk, and quiver as she moves around! She's pretty active these days! Ryan keeps telling me that she needs to get here soon! He's getting so excited, which makes me so happy! We like to watch her move. It's fun to guess which limbs are where! Her head is easier to guess- that would be the big round hard spot! Haha. A friend of mine just had her baby on July 4th! And now I am a tad jealous! I just want her to get here so i can give her proper squishings and love. So I can see her tiny features and guess who she looks more like! :) I hope she has her daddy's eyes! He has such cool eyes! And we're guessing she'll be very blonde since both ryan and I were toe-head blondes as babies and toddlers. I guess we'll find out in 10 weeks or so!!! Anyone want to make guesses as to what she'll look like? But who cares- she'll be beautiful and she'll be all ours!

A New Friend

So every Sunday we have family dinners with Ryan's family that is here in Rexburg. It's great! It's a great way to stay connected! This Sunday we had our dinner at Porter Park. It was hot but perfect in the shade! We played Apples-to-Apples on a blanket in the grass. It was fun- and thank you random citizen for taking our picture for us! :)

Then, in the evening we decided to go for a walk and take our mini telescope that my Grandpa sent us. We were meandering through nearby neighborhoods looking for a good quite and dark place to set up our telescope when this dog appeared and decided to come along for the fun! This dog seriously followed us for about an hour! S/He was so well behaved too! It was a young golden retriever with a color that said "Invisible Fence"... so much for that investment. We had a great time trying to find constellations that we didn't know names of or directions of! Haha, but when we packed up to go- dog came too. We walked passed the house we thought the dog came from and tried ditching S/he there... but she was too quick for us! This dog followed us all the way to our apartment, up the stairs, and practically into our home. I took a picture of it trying to come inside lol! I felt like such a terrible person shutting the door in the poor dog's face! Maybe it will still be there in the morning! hhahaha.

Work Hard- Party Hard

So this last week has been crazy at work. Ryan and I work for a Melaleuca call center. Well customers have deadlines by the end of the month and so "month-end" (as we call it) gets CRAZY busy and they work us LONG hours! It's rough. And since this last week was another month end, we worked every day this week and both made it to 40 hours. Man, am I glad that's over with! So to reward ourselves with such hard work at work and school and scripture studies... We decided to go to the water park! Best reward ever!

This is the rock wall that hangs over the pool. You can bet Ryan waited in a 10-15 minute line just to climb it! And he campused the whole thing (no legs- only hands). It was fun to watch him. All the little kids were amazed -ooing and -ahhing. I sure was! "Look at those muscles!!! OOOOeeee!" haha. The lazy river was what I was most excited about... but there were so many people when we went that it was more hectic than ever. I couldve sworn some little kid was going to get stuck under the tubes and not be able to get out, drown, and not be found until the park closed. It was nerve-raking!

Then, after we got thoroughly crispied out in the sun and had our fair share of water fun, we went out to Heise where Ryan, Marcus and his roommate, Scott, did some climbing. I'd never been out there before. But it was a pretty sweet place! Plus Ryan makes al the routes look easy! I miss climbing- Ryan wont let me anymore :( sad day. lol. I guess its for the best though- for now. And the best part of the day is that we got a tan! How exciting! (for rexburg anyways) :)

Fun-Filled Weekend

This weekend we did a lot of things! With summer being here, we try to pack as much fun into our weekends as possible! This weekend we went camping on Friday night with our ward up in Island Park! It was really nice and lots of fun! We took our nifty little two-man tent with us and packed it full of blankets and pillows (we were very warm all night!) We roasted marshmellows (my favorite) and played games with friends until midnight! What treat! We don't usually stay up until midnight these days haha. Anyway, It was a a blast. We even got to take a paddle boat out on the lake... although, it didn't really go fast and was more of a workout than a relaxing boat ride. But we had fun! And it was nice to get away for awhile. In the morning we took a nice little bike-ride... until the bike ryan was on decided to release one of its peddles and render itself unridable. :)

That night we went to see Fast Five in the cheap theater with some friends, Kolette and Jacob Haag. It was an okay movie. If your looking for a good action movie with fast cars I recommend Gone in 60 Seconds. Way better!

Sunday was also a good day! Full of relaxation, church, family dinner, and another movie with Leslie and Martin Casariego. Liam Neeson is full of suspense and twisty-turns in Unknown. But again, if you want more action, his movie Taken was way better! All-in-all a great weekend! Now if I can just get through this week!

Summer Weather

So Rexburg has finally thawed out and the warm weather is here to stay! It's been the the mid 80's all week and i am LOVING it! I've been trying to take every chance I get to stay outside! It's just so gorgeous- and with the wind too, it's not too hot! Rexburg also just opened the very first community pool, Riverside Aquatic Center. Complete with water slides, lazy river, and a rock climbing wall over the pool (which ryan was ecstatic about!). We are getting passes! This is one thing we MUST take advantage of! I've decided to start biking a lot too- which has now caused my bum to be a little sore, but hopefully it will toughen up! Ahhh Rexburg is gorgeous in the summer! :)

I just had my 28th week check up on Wednesday and had some blood work done to make sure I'm not gestationaly diabetic! Good news! I'm not! But I am slightly anemic (not enough iron in my blood). But nothing to worry about. Nothing that consistently taking my prenatal vitamins wont help! :) And for being their patient, they gave ryan and I two free movie tickets and a dinner voucher! Date Night!!! wohoo! I'll be saving those for the new Harry Potter movie coming out soon! CANT WAIT! As for Hailey- well, she is getting bigger and stronger. Sometimes I feel like I have a ton of bricks on my chest because she can reach into my ribs and kick and push them. They feel so tender now! :( But Ryan can now enjoy her movements as much as I do. We can sit there and watch my stomach move- So surreal! I can't wait for the stinker to get here! I already love her to death (even if she is hurting my ribs and back)

Feeling Crafty

Well, I am now finished with my 2nd trimester and on to my 3rd! And with this progression comes a certain sense of "nesting" or "craftiness" that I feel. I have been working on a quilt for our little Hailey (haylie?) And I'm so excited about it! And with all the baby bedding sitting around and the slowly growing pile of baby clothes- i feel like i need to set her room up!!! But we need to get rid of some things before we can do that. I'll be posting a Blog sale of all the things we are getting rid of soon. But for now- I shall be crafty and finish this cute little quilt and make cute little headband bows for her! :D

So, a little side note. Our stake added two new wards this week and adjusted all the ward boundaries. Well guess who got moved our of their ward- us. We had been in that ward for almost a full year and now go to a different ward that meets at 1pm and has sacrament last. Ug. I'm not so please about this. Plus, the calling I received a few weeks ago was automatically released from me when the boundaries switched. Sigh. Oh well, new ward means new opportunities, right? I'm going to miss my old ward though. They were so great!
