A Hectic Life

So the past week or so has been crazy! I don't know why I decided that taking two 4 credit classes at the same time would be a good idea... I can't remember anymore. Now it's just work work work. Ryan started work last week at the same place I work. So our schedules have been thrown out of wack a little bit. On Friday I threw a bridal shower for one of my best friends who is getting married the day before my one year anniversary. It was a ton of fun! We made her wear a terrible looking wedding dress that was a pale yellow color! We played games and ate pizza and stuff. But as for a surprise the bride's mother-in-law-to-be showed up with her sister-in-law-to-be and Ryan's mom (they are best friends). It was a blast! I love spending time with family. It's the most important thing in life. Now we are back to school and midterms are coming to an end, so it's a rush to make sure everything is done and turned in. Our apartment is somewhat a wreck from this weekends festivities. The laundry is piling high, and all I can think about is taking nap! Hahah. Wouldn't it be nice if you could just hybernate for the duration of your pregnancy?! That would be the life!!! No school, no chores, no work, no dealing with anything! But then of course, what would Ryan do without me? He'd be a mess, just like any husband is without his wife :P So I guess I should not hybernate... dang.

School=Kicking my butt

MIDTERMS ARE NEXT WEEK! I can't believe we are already to the halfway mark this semester! It's crazy! I just can't wait to be done with this semester. Finishing this semester will mean several things to me. A) I will finally know for the last time if I got into the Nursing Program here at BYU-I or not. B) I will be completely done with my first trimester and a month into my second trimester, meaning- hopefully i'll be over all this morning sickness... which isn't really MORNING sickness. It's more like ALL-DAY sickness. But whatever. And C) it will be the end of winter and on to spring and summer! But between now and then, I need to pass all my classes, keep my food down, and about 3 feet of snow still needs to melt!

As for something new, I've been watching The Food network religiously and have begun to dream that I'm on iron chef and I need to complete my dish before the timer runs out! These have been some of the most stressful dreams I have ever had in my life! It's crazy! haha. But it has motivated me to try new meals for Ryan! Of course, he doesn't complain at all! :D But it's hard to balance what things sound good and what things don't know. This little squirt growing inside me is picky! Most of you know me and chocolate and how we go hand-in-hand... well not anymore. It gives me heartburn and a stomach ache. It's devastating! And I am constantly craving steak, pickles, tomatoes, potatoes, and fruit! It's all so new to me. Any suggestions from those of you who know what I'm going through?!

Such a Little Squirt!

So, yesterday Ryan and I went to our first prenatal doctor's appointment! I was nervous, because the chances of losing the baby before you hear a heartbeat are high. But to my relief there was a heartbeat!!! The heartbeat was going at about 170bpm. HOLY COW! That's like mine after a hard workout! The little guy must be working hard (or girl)! It was so amazing to be able to watch it's little heart beating and to be able to see the different parts of it's anatomy! Head, feet, umbilical cord, etc. It was awesome! The best part... was Ryan's expression! It screamed, "HOLY COW ITS ACTUALLY ALIVE AND IN THERE!" He was a little... overwhelmed, shall we say?! Heheh. But he is so happy and so excited! We both are! I am just so relieved that so far, all is well and healthy! Me, Ryan, and this baby are in it for the long haul! There's no turning back now! :) ...YAY!!!
