Did you guys know that there was a solar eclipse a few weeks ago? It was only visible in certain parts of the world. I happened to be in St. George, UT at the time it happened and we were able to see it. Well, there's not much to see if you only have your bare eyes! You can go to a store and get some nifty glasses that let you look at the sun, but they cost a fortune! So here's a neat homemade trick....
PopTart Bags!
Who knew!? I sure didn't. But my clever husband did! Thanks to him, we were all able to watch the solar eclipse! It was a pretty neat experience. We got out our portable telescope and taped a poptart bag to the lens and focused it on the sun and moon. It was great! We spent all evening watching the sun disappear behind the moon and the "ring of fire"!
THAT'S AWESOME! Who knew what a Pop Tart bag was good for. Not me!
