Life's Changes

(the moving truck and all of our stuff... not much, but it weighed 1600lbs or so)

Some decisions in life are small and some are the big ones that change everything or will shape our future. Well we recently made one of those decisions. Ryan was offered a job in Maryland as a Sales Admin. Associate. So we decided to move to Virginia where we could live with my family while we save for a house. This was a big step for us. We didn't really know what to expect from this job. Nor did we know a month in advance that we would be moving for sure. We have been so blessed to see the hand of the Lord in our lives as we follow Him in faith. We packed up all our belongings- again- and shipped it off with a moving company to VA. The following week we ourselves started out on a 2300mile trek across the country. We've done this before together, but this time we went with an 8 month old baby! I thought it was be terrible for everyone, but it actually wasn't all that bad. We did it in 4 days, stopping with friends and family each night. The first night we stopped with my dad's college best friend, Jeff Carter, and his family in Colorado. The second day we drove to my grandma's in Nebraska. The third day we drove to Cincinnati where we spent the night with Ryan's mission president. And on the fourth and final day we drove to my parents house.

(random pit stop in the middle of.... the US?)

Hailey was more than we could have asked for. She was so good for us! She only got cranky during the last hour of each day- it's like she could feel we were getting close to our destination and was feeling antsy! But who doesn't get antsy the last hour of a long day behind the wheel!? We made sure to take lots of stops so she could stretch her tiny legs and move around. I think she appreciated that (she started clapping and giggling every time the car stopped!) Overall, a good experience! Thanks to my patient and loving husband and my self-entertained baby angel!
