"We're In This Together"

This weekend Ryan and I went down with two of our favorite people, Tyler and Kira, to Salt Lake for the Outdoor Retailer Convention. It was so awesome! It happens twice a year, once in the summer and once in the winter. Its where all the outdoor sports stores come together and show off their new gear and clothing for the upcoming year. THere are competitions and drawings and give aways all over the place. It was HUGE! There was so much to look at! Ryan was in rockclimber heaven! He even got a free pair of new rock climbing shoes courtesy of Climb-X.
The only downside to the whole weekend was that I was battling nausea the whole time! I'm sick from the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep. And then in the middle of the night when I wake up to pee... for the fifth time! I am constantly keeping a steady stream of crackers going into my mouth. If I can help it, I never want to see another Saltine in my life! On Saturday, after walking around for a long time I just had to sit down. So I found a wall by the bathroom and sat. I told Ryan that he could go on with Tyler and Kira and that I would catch up. But he refused. He said, "I am NOT going to leave you here by yourself! We are in this together!" My heart just about melted... until a wave of sickness hit me and I had to lay down. I fell asleep on the floor by the bathroom for 30 minutes and he stayed by me every second instead of looking at all the cool things I know he wanted to be looking at! To top it all off, that night I woke up at 4am feeling ready to puke. He got up, got dressed, and went outside in the freezing cold to the car to get my water bottle. He is just the very best! I am so lucky to have such a devoted and caring husband. As much as I feel like this sickness and pregnancy is mine to bear- he is there with me 100%. We are in this together! And I'd have it no other way. I love you Ryan.

My little Raspberry!

So, incase you haven't heard yet- yes, IM PREGNANT! I'm only about 7 weeks along. I meant to wait to tell anyone until I was at least 10 weeks... but everyone knows I'm no good and holding things in that are this exciting!!! So out it came! I don't have a definite due date yet. I'll be going to the doctors in about a week and a half to find out. But if my calculations are correct, we're thinking it will come about the last week of August or the first week in September! I like to refer to it as my little raspberry because that's about how big it is right now! But this little raspberry of mine is causing problems! First cramps, now morning sickness and cravings. Yesterday all I could think of was scrambled eggs, steak, and taco bell! It was the weirdest feeling! I'm finding though that the more I drink water, the better I feel- although the nausea doesn't leave completely.
Ryan and I are SO excited for this new experience! It's going to be great! Now the we just have to settle in and start the long wait! At least I've almost got 2 months down! :D

Below Freezing

School has started and I am feeling a tad bit overwhelmed! I haven't been in school for 9 months and I feel very out of practice! It's crazy! So far, I like all my classes! I'm taking Chemistry/Lab, MicroBiology/Lab, Advanced First Aid, New Testament, and a Drawing Class. It's definitely keeping me busy- that's for sure! Not to mention that I'm still working 4-10 MWF. As crazy as it all seems, life is pretty good right now. We have our finances undercontrol. I get to see Ryan more often than I thought I would, now that we're in school. He had his surgery and everything went well, and I worked out this morning! Doesn't that always just make you feel good? :) Anyways, I just feel so blessed to be living this life I have with Ryan here in Rexburg attending BYU-I... even when it does get into the negative degrees outside at least once a week! I am so grateful for all the things that the Lord has bless me with! College may be hard while being married- but its an experience that I think is well worth taking!

In Rolls 2011

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Lets see, highlights of 2010: First of all, I married the love of my life and had some awesome times making memories this year like going to Hawaii for our honeymoon, living with my parents in VA, driving to Niagara Falls and the Palmyra Pageant. We also did a lot of rock climbing and Ryan almost came away with the year unscathed- until he broke his wrist and now is scheduled for a surgery. We finally made it to our own apt back in Rexburg, ID. Struggled finding jobs together and strengthening our faith together. It has been a rollercoaster events- that's for sure! But at the end of the day I'm just glad to be with him. As for other highlights of the year- I became an aunt for the first time and to of my best friends are engaged to be married! It's been a great year and I can't wait to see what this new year will bring us! Thanks to all of our friends and family for such a great year! We love you all and wish you all a happy new year as well!
